There are 5 animals, snake, tiger , dragon, leopard , & crane . There are 5 distinct and different forms for each animal . When GM Wong taught me , he would teach a animal form, then a weapon form, then a animal form, then a weapon form , then a 2 man form , then a breathing form , then a animal form , then a weapon form , and so on...... I learned 56 forms from GM Wong .. In our style there are 300 forms ... No one has ever learned them all.....he said some of the forms should not be learned , or taught , because they came from a different period in time ...and shouldn't be used. !

Great, so the style really is that long. Amazing. We have to keep the style alive for more years.
I hope you can continue uploading videos to YouTube, they are great.

The problem that we are facing in our style is............ Ego ! People have learned a bit and then saw the possibility of increasing their social status , along with the chance to make some money . There in lies the problem. Kungfu is a very personal learning experience . It is not a way to meet women , or men , or to make money . This was not why it was passed on. Then we have the other side of this problem , " Something for nothing ! " You get what you pay for ". This is true . I've taught some people who completely took my teaching for granted . I found that if I charged , they paid more attention . The intent was never to make a great deal of money , but to make sure that people would be able to put a value on what they were learning ... This is totally meant for beginners. Most know the value of what they are learning . Now, I have seen some folks teaching our style , and if you look hard enough you can recognize it . I can't go into explaining all this without embarrassing some of the teachers . Which I will later !

You are right about having to look hard. Kind of sad. Hard for me to relate to them. Thank you for your teachings. Looking forward to your stories.

Life is not perfect . We all have directions that we follow . Some will try to live up to expectations of others, and others will follow their own drummer . Set backs along the way are expected . Even families have problems getting along. Why should a workout class of all different people's be any different . It's how you handle what is thrown at you that counts . How would a teacher handle so many different personalities in a group ? If you want to teach , you should put that at the head of your list of things to learn . Some of us are weaker than others and can't deal with it , and those are the ones who should take up knitting , and leave it to the stronger people . Man or woman , no difference when it comes to martial arts . Either you have it or you don't . If you don't , keep moving !
